Fire Department UAS / Drone COA
We help your fire department’s UAS / Drone program work through the FAA COA process, either with just a blanket all the way to a jurisdictional COA. This is done through extensive knowledge of the process from beginning to end, to include training, so you can bring your program from nothing to completely operational.
A Certificate of Waiver or Authorization (COA) is a way that Air Traffic Organization gives authority to a public operator to do specific UA activities in airspace. The FAA process can take a while, but with our experience we can help cut that process down to a few months, instead of several.
Our comprehensive Fire Department package includes a needs assessment, COA development, requirements, flight and ground school training, best practices, and operation/maintenance checklists.
We train your sUAS team to pass the Part 107 test, which makes them a certified civil sUAS pilots in command (PIC). This 10 module curriculum, designed by certified military curriculum instructors, will take the perspective pilot through the civil operations of sUAS, FAA rules and regulations, weather effects, and airspace knowledge. It also includes practice tests and an eBook.
Mishigami has hundreds of sUAS flight hours and its certified pilots will work with your department on developing best practices for utilizing the aircrafts for mission specific operations, both with standard cameras and FLIR thermals. The course can be tailored to your operational needs, designed by military UAV integrators with over 10 years experience in integrating these types of aircrafts in public safety and military operations.
Scenario Integration Training
Mishigami are experts in designing training that will integrate sUAS into your training scenarios. We have years of experience developing training for the U.S. Army, to include UAV units, and integrating UAVs into collective training. Leveraging our training backgrounds and our knowledge of sUAS capabilities, we can help add to scenarios that will enhance the entire training event.
